Afroditi Chatzoglou
Afroditi is the founder of Case Heritage Studies. She has worked for many years in the archaeological sector and in international education. She is passionate about showing to students how the past is interconnected with the present and shapes the future. She has offered as an educator various trips in which students had the opportunity to develop skills and understanding through interactive activities with background the historical past.
After graduating from the Department of History & Archaeology of the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens, Afroditi continued her studies in Archaeological Heritage & Museum Studies in the University of Cambridge in the UK where she received an MPhil and PhD degree.
Most recently she has earned a Certificate in School Management & Leadership from Harvard Graduate School of Education and Harvard Business School as well as a Postgraduate Advanced Certificate in Educational Studies: Educational Assessment from the University of Cambridge.
Delia Tzortzaki
Delia is the Legal Representative of the Norwegian Institute at Athens / University of Bergen, where she works as adviser. She holds a Ph.D. in Museology (Roskilde University, Denmark), an MA in Gallery Studies (University of Essex, UK) and a BA in Archaeology-History of Art (National and Kapodistrian University, Greece). In 1993 Delia organized the first course in Museology in Greece, at the Athens College (Adult Education Programs) and since then she has been working almost uninterruptedly as a university lecturer in museology and curation studies (Panteion University, National and Kapodistrian University, Athens School of Fine Arts).
Between the years 1998-2004 Delia Tzortzaki worked as research collaborator at Roskilde University (Department of Communication). Furthermore, Delia has held scientific and administrative posts in Athenian museums and cultural bodies including the Hellenic Ministry of Culture and Sports (state competition by the Supreme Personnel Selection Council, ASEP in 2010). In 2018 she represented the Athens School of Fine Arts and the Norwegian Institute at Athens by curating Beat: From portraits to selfies (Old Library, ASFA), a collaboration between ASFA and the University of Agder (Norway). Her main research interests focus on the evolution of the museum phenomenon, the epistemology of digital heritage and novel curation practices including the reuse of deadstock fabrics within sustainable heritage and circular economy.
Delia is the main editor of the collective volume The Theory of Museology. Main Schools of Thought 1960-2000 (in print). More recent publications: “On the border of the culturally ‘known’: European Everything and the presence of Sami in documenta 14”, FIELD, 18/19, spring 2021 (accessed 3.1.2022) and “From the Ideal to the Spectacular. Students will stay in triple rooms, but they can choose to stay in single room for 85€ per day, or in four bed room for 120€ per day.
Students will stay at Civitel Attik & Civitel Esprit Hotel located just a few meters away from the Olympic Stadium, where the 2004 Olympic Games were hosted, and from two of the most important shopping centers in Athens, Golden Hall and The Mall Athens. Students will have the opportunity to relax in this family hotel that lies among pastel-coloured buildings and gardens and has a swimming pool and spacious restaurant with a garden. Students can socialize in spacious common rooms or in the large open-air terrace under the shadow of olive trees which is ideal for social and fun activities.

Students will have the opportunity to spend a week in Athens exploring knowledge, concepts and skills required for high school studies and future career with background the most prominent monuments and sites of Ancient Greek Civilization. They are going to explore how the past shapes our identity in the present and forms the future through a variety of subjects, from history and archaeology to mathematics and digital technologies. At the same time, they are going to relax, enjoy the sun and have fun with their peers by participating in social and sport activities at the beach and the stadium where Modern Olympic Games were revived.
